I was up before sunrise this morning and left for work earlier than I needed to, which gave me time to skulk about with my camera. I couldn't choose just one to post over at Girl in Melbourne...
Sunrise from my window
Ooh, fluffy!
Let's go for a ride

Sunrise and fluffy are my favourites. :) The cool thing about the fluffy one is that without anything other than the trees for reference, I can almost imagine that the clouds are like the surface of the water (or something water-like, anyway).
I was leaving the city late this afternoon, and really wished that I had a decent camera with me, because there were some great sunset shots just begging to be taken (from down next to the Fed. Square car park, just near Birrarung Marr). I'm going to have to get down there with my camera and tripod some time soon(ish)!
As to the dawn shots, I'll leave those to you for the moment. ;) Don't get me wrong, I love dawn: it's the getting up that early for it that's the problem. ;P
It's good to take your camera everywhere! I suppose it's easier when you have a handbag and a compact camera though.
I wish I got to see the sunset now, but it's dark when I leave work. Harrumph.
I can't believe I - a committed snoozer who normally gets up close to 8am - am going to say this, but sunrise isn't actually that early at the moment. I took the first pic just after getting up at 7am.
It's the new mattress, isn't it?
Sleep so well you're up at sparrow fart ;)
Hello Jayne. I wish. I still usually struggle to wake up and get out of bed, but I'd gone to bed really early the previous night and woke up earlier, feeling relatively awake...although I probably would have hit the snooze button if I ddn't have to be at work early than normal.
Jayne (Frisky): That's one of the things I really don't like about winter: it being dark at the end of the work day. It makes me feel that the whole day's over, and I missed it while I was working.
I think I can see a possible joint Melbourne photography arrangement here. I'll do sunset and you do sunrise, okay? (What's that you say? Better end of the deal??)
Great colours in that first shot.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
What a marvelous posts. From dawning to sunrise and daylight and what more?
Hello Jayne, Sydney here. I wonder if you would like to share your quotes in my blog?

Balloon and stairs. #1.
Jogger on bridge. Great vertical lines. #2.
Hello again Julian. There's a lot to dislike about winter! Looking forward to that day when I leave work and think, "Hey, it's not quite so dark now!".
Yep, I think you're getting the better end of the bargain there.
Thanks, J Bar.
Hi Bonnie. Thanks for dropping in, I'll pop over and have a look at your blog after this.
Thank you also Regina, Gennasus and mystery person. I appreciate you stopping by a look.
Oooh! They are all good! Federation Bells is my favorite. Those clouds are just cool!
